As the winter party season closes in, the slopes of Chamonix and Val d'Isere hold hypnotic appeal for many of us. Breathtaking scenery, sumptuous food and superior wines go hand-in-hand with boisterous entertainment, rowdy revellers and sporting endeavour. This year at Battersea Evolution join us on your chosen night for an unforgettable evening of 'Off Piste', where a non-stop party of Apres-style revelling is guaranteed; an electrifying blend of ice cool glamour and red hot groove set in the exquisite surrounding of a breathtaking alpine winter wonderland...

As you sweep into the beautiful surroundings of Battersea Park, the magnificent glass frontage of Battersea Evolution glistens like an ice palace, as thousands of fairy lights draped on beautifully dressed trees illuminate its soaring ceiling. Having disposed of your hats and coats, you are beckoned to enter a surreal iridescent forest of ice, lit magically in frosty violets and blues.

Your heartbeat instantly rises and you feel the atmosphere suddenly change tempo as you emerge from the frosted forest into the heart of a bustling Alpine Village, where a dizzying array of lively bars vie for your attention. Whether your preference is for bubbling Champagne, high octane shots, speciality beers, fine wines or warming winter cocktails, every taste and whim is catered for.

Whilst bar-hopping, you can savour an array of mouth-watering canapes and marvel at the breath-taking assortment of entertainment taking place around you. Acrobats, fire acts, dancers and aerialists: spin, writhe, whirl and gyrate to the accompaniment of raucous music; re-creating the noisy bustling atmosphere of many an Alpine resort. As you chat and mingle with friends & colleagues amongst the bars, dinner is called.

Descend from the thriving bar scene into a fantastical winter wonderland, where an exquisitely decorated candle-lit dining room is encased in a forest of sparkling snow-topped fir trees - an enchanting atmosphere in which to begin your Christmas celebrations.

A lavish, freshly prepared menu is served at beautifully dressed tables, which appear to shimmer and sparkle under a layer of glittering frost. Succulent meats, tasty vegetables, warm breads and inspired desserts pay homage to the cuisine and fine wines served in only the most elite ski resorts!

As the food, drink and banter flow, entertainers appear to raise the tempo once more. High overhead, a vast canopy of glistening icicles floats magically. Lit by a rippling wave of deep and soothing colours; it shimmers and undulates like a cosmic Aurora Borealis. From time to time it descends majestically, revealing an ice-smooth stage where a myriad of entertainment unfolds. Skaters whirl across its surface; aerial acts swing from the starlit ceiling and dancers and acrobats fill the floor with a seething mass of energy and verve.

As dinner comes to an end, the icicle stage ascends upwards with spell-binding grandeur and unveils underneath, an immense polished dance-floor which our superb DJ beckons you to fill for a night of non-stop party music and dancing...

For those who prefer not to go straight to the floor, there are a multitude of treats, indulgences and delights to pursue instead. The adrenalin junkies venture onto the dodgems, cruise the cocktail bars or down shots from the giant ice luge for some high spirited fun, while those with more refined tastes can sample the giant white chocolate fountain, perhaps followed with a glass of iced champagne whilst trying their hand at one of the casino tables.

As the evening accelerates at a pace and the music shows no sign of slowing down, dodgem cars whiz around while cannons explode over the dance floor showering it with a deluge of streamers and wild colours of confetti. For those who have experienced the atmosphere of Apres Ski before, be prepared for your finest and most memorable moments to be re-lived. For those Apres Ski virgins - be prepared for Off Piste to take your breath away!

About the venue:

Battersea Evolution, (formerly known as Battersea Park Events Arena) is a purpose built events venue situated in Battersea Park, Central London. Significantly upgraded in 2005 to a state of the art 'evolution' structure, the venue now boasts 5,500sqm of unimpeded event space making it arguably the most flexible and dynamic venue in London.

Situated in the centre of a 15,000sqm hard-standing area in the picturesque surrounds of Battersea Park, the Evolution offers a myriad of possibilities for Event and Production companies. From a totally blank canvas to a complete 'turn key' package, the technical specification is hugely impressive.

At its largest, the Evolution structure, custom built in Holland, consists of a 95 metre long by 50 metre wide clear-span main hall. A stunning 8 metre tall glass fronted atrium adorns the front of the venue, ideal for corporate branding and receptions. Although completely flexible, the venue usually features a sizeable professional kitchen area, luxury toilets, cloakrooms and office facilities.

Up to 2,500 guests can be comfortably seated for a dinner dance (making it the largest central dining area in London), and up to 3,500 for a drinks reception or a theatre-styled seating event. Due to its flexible nature, the structure is regularly enlarged or reduced in size to suit different events.
