About the venue:
One of London's best-known landmarks, Marble Arch was originally built on the Mall as a new gateway to Buckingham Palace. Although it was moved to the present spot in 1851, it's still pretty exclusive: only members of the royal family and the King's Troop, Royal Horse Artillery, are allowed to pass through it. As the name implies, it's made from Italian white Carrara marble, a favourite material of the Romans and, many centuries later, the Art Deco movement and it was the latter that inspired Thistle Marble Arch.
While the hotel's Art Deco style and spacious grandeur recalls an earlier age, the accommodation is thoroughly up to date. We now have wi-fi broadband internet available in every part of the building - 692 bedrooms, including 193 superior bedrooms, deluxe rooms and suites, and 18 meeting rooms, the largest of which seats 330 theatre-style. Car parking "always at a premium in this neck of the woods" is available close to the hotel at an additional charge.
